PVC Patches
PVC patches are molded from soft, flexible rubber rather than stitched in thread — which makes them the toughest patch type we offer. They shrug off rain, mud, UV, and repeated washing without fading or fraying, so they've become the default choice for tactical units, outdoor brands, workwear, and anything that lives outside.
Because the design is molded rather than embroidered, PVC handles bold shapes, layered 3D relief, and crisp edges that thread can't hold. It's less suited to very fine text or photographic detail — if your artwork leans that way, a woven or printed patch will usually serve you better, and we're happy to point you to the right one.
A few things worth knowing before you order: PVC patches are typically supplied with a Velcro (hook-and-loop) or sew-on backing, which is why you see them on morale panels, plate carriers, and jacket sleeves. Minimum order is 100 pieces, and unit cost drops as quantity climbs — so they make most sense for teams, units, and brand runs rather than one-offs.
If you're not sure whether PVC or silicone is right for your design, the short version: PVC for rugged, weatherproof, 3D rubber; silicone for a softer, lower-profile feel on performance apparel.
Badges, patches, and keyrings are produced and ordered through our dedicated sister site, USABadge.com. It's the same company — we keep badge ordering on its own site so the quoting, sampling, and production process stays clean and simple, separate from our digitizing work. When you're ready to order PVC patches, you'll head there to configure size, backing, and quantity.
Heads up: USABadge.com is a separate site with its own account system. Your Digitizing.US login won't work there — you'll need to create a separate account on USABadge.com. It takes a minute and keeps your badge orders organized in the right place.
