Printed Patches
Printed patches are where you go when the artwork is too detailed, too colourful, or too photographic for thread. Instead of being stitched, the design is printed in full colour onto a fabric base — which means unlimited colours, smooth gradients, fine linework, and even photo-realistic imagery, all reproduced faithfully.
This is the patch type that solves the problem we see constantly in digitizing: a beautiful, complex logo that simply can't be embroidered without losing its character. If your design has blends, drop shadows, tiny detail, or dozens of colours, a printed patch keeps it intact where embroidery would force you to simplify.
Printed patches are lightweight and modern, and they suit brand merchandise, event patches, and any design that's more illustration than emblem. Minimum order is 25 pieces, which makes them one of the more accessible patch types for smaller runs.
The trade-off is texture: printed patches are flat and smooth, so they don't carry the tactile, premium feel of embroidery or the depth of silicone and PVC. If your design is simple and you want that classic raised-thread look, embroidered is the better choice — if it's vibrant and detailed, printed wins every time.
Badges, patches, and keyrings are produced and ordered through our dedicated sister site, USABadge.com. It's the same company — we keep badge ordering on its own site so the quoting, sampling, and production process stays clean and simple, separate from our digitizing work. When you're ready to order printed patches, you'll head there to configure size, backing, and quantity.
Heads up: USABadge.com is a separate site with its own account system. Your Digitizing.US login won't work there — you'll need to create a separate account on USABadge.com. It takes a minute and keeps your badge orders organized in the right place.
