Woven Patches
Woven patches are the precision option. Where embroidery builds a design up in raised thread, weaving runs much finer threads tightly in a single plane — producing a flatter, lighter, more detailed badge that holds small lettering, fine outlines, and intricate crests embroidery would struggle with.
The distinction is worth understanding: an embroidered patch has texture and depth; a woven patch has detail and definition. If your design has small text, thin lines, a detailed crest, or a clean brand mark, woven will reproduce it faithfully at a size where embroidery would blur or thicken the detail. It's the same reason woven labels exist — the weave simply holds finer information than thread.
Options include normal or metallic thread, with backings covering heat-seal, non-woven, Velcro hook, loop, or both. Sizes run from roughly 1 to 7.5 inches, with a minimum order of 100 pieces at around $1.26 each at that quantity.
Woven patches suit uniforms, fashion labels, brand badges, school badges, corporate logos, sports clubs, merchandise, and sleeve patches — anywhere fine detail matters. If you're weighing woven against embroidered, the rule of thumb: woven for detail and small text, embroidered for texture and a classic raised look.
Badges, patches, and keyrings are produced and ordered through our dedicated sister site, USABadge.com. It's the same company — we keep badge ordering on its own site so the quoting, sampling, and production process stays clean and simple, separate from our digitizing work. When you're ready to order woven patches, you'll head there to configure size, backing, and quantity.
Heads up: USABadge.com is a separate site with its own account system. Your Digitizing.US login won't work there — you'll need to create a separate account on USABadge.com. It takes a minute and keeps your badge orders organized in the right place.
