How We Test

Most digitizers send a screen rendering. We send a scan of the actual sew-out.

Tested on Fabric. Not on Screen.

Our testing facility has commercial Barudan and Happy machines — modern and older models. We test across the full range of equipment that real shops use.

When we're not confident a design will run cleanly, we stitch it out on real fabric, scan it, and send you the proof. That's thread on fabric — not a screen rendering.

Our Testing Process

1

Digitize

Manually digitized in Wilcom. Pathing, underlay, pull compensation optimized.

2

Review

Checked for small text, color changes, stitch density, fabric compatibility.

3

Test

Stitched out on commercial machine. Thread tension, registration, finish checked.

4

Deliver

Tested file delivered with scanned sew-out proof. Issues flagged with alternatives.

Our Process in Action

This is not a diagram. These are our machines, our thread wall, our hands — every step of the way.

Loading a hoop

Fabric hooped and seated on a commercial machine, tension checked before the first stitch.

Color selection

Threads pulled from our color wall — industry-standard 40wt and 60wt in every shade.

Needle in motion

Live stitch-out on the test machine. Tension, registration, trims — all monitored.

Quality inspection

Every finished piece is inspected under good light before it leaves the facility.

We'll Tell You If Something's Wrong

If we spot a problem, we tell you before it becomes your problem.

Text too small?

We'll offer alternative layouts with a graphic mock-up for your approval.

Detail too fine?

We flag what can't be faithfully embroidered and suggest simplifications.

Wrong stitch type?

We optimize satin, fill, and running stitches for the best result on your fabric.

Machine compatibility?

We adjust for older machines that can't handle certain densities or paths.

Common Questions

What is a sew-out proof?

A sew-out proof is a scan or photo of the design actually stitched on fabric, not a digital screen preview. It shows real thread texture, density, small-text clarity, registration, trims and problem areas before you run the file on customer garments.

Why isn't a screen mock-up enough?

A screen mock-up can show the shape of a design, but it can't prove how thread behaves on fabric. Puckering, thread breaks, density problems, poor underlay and small-text issues usually only show up when the file is stitched.
